Collaboration in Action! LUPC & SUPC Conference 2016

Knowledge Quarter partners are invited to join the London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC) and Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC) for a truly collaborative conference designed to help members in delivering greater efficiency through their procurement activity.

Delegates can look forward to a rich programme, including keynote speeches from Professor Marc Day from Henley Business School and Claire Taylor MBE, Principal Consultant at SUMS Consulting and International Cricket Council World Player of the Year 2009, on the benefits and challenges of collaborative procurement. The event will also feature breakout sessions on:

  • Making the Most of Framework Agreements
  • Delivering Apprenticeships through Effective Contract Management
  • The Impact of ‘Brexit’ on Public Procurement
  • Spend Analysis
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Procurement Maturity Assessments (PMAs) – the sector’s progress
  • Category Focus sessions on Estates, ICT, Professional Services and STEMed.

Delegates can also meet more than 55 approved suppliers in our Exhibition, and round off the day with a complimentary drink in the beautiful Dickens Library and courtyard, including a reading and performance by actor Gerald Dickens, great-great-grandson of the famous author!

This year’s event will be the first joint conference between LUPCSUPC, a collaboration that aims to maximise the benefits for LUPC memberships, offer wider networking and perspectives, and reflects the large number of shared national and regional agreements tendered and managed collaboratively by the sister consortia.

Delegates are welcome from procurement teams as well as wider institutional buyers, senior managers and academics.
