


Knowledge Quarter - South Korea Visit
Since the Knowledge Quarter (KQ) launched last December, there has been plenty of interest in the idea, not only within London and the UK but also internationally. KQ recently met with partners in Sydney, Australia but last week I was invited to speak about the KQ in Seoul, Korea.

The Knowledge Quarter features in a jointly written article by George Osborne and Boris Johnson published at the end of February in the Evening Standard. Together they outline a Long Term Economic Plan for London - a six-point strategy for London’s prosperity.

Strange Bedfellows by Laurence Scales
The Knowledge Quarter, with the British Library as its nucleus, is the name given to a London hotspot of technology, knowledge, art and science organisations and - this should be the exciting bit - of interdisciplinary and interpersonal collaboration, and of pulling together resources in new ways.

Knowledge Quarter launched at British Library
The new Knowledge Quarter, a partnership of 35 academic, cultural, research, scientific and media organisations based in Kings Cross, Euston and Bloomsbury, was launched by the Chancellor, George Osborne today at the British Library in London.
