Knowledge Quarter featured in CAMOC
Daniel Stevens, our Advocacy and Communications Manager, has written for the International Committee for the Collections and Activities of Museums of Cities’ (CAMOC) Quarterly Newsletter on the role cultural institutions play in innovation districts.
In it he argues that the language on innovation districts overlooks the importance of cultural institutions. Innovation districts thrive on face to face interactions, physical spaces and well-designed public realm – areas which cultural organisations such as museums and libraries are well placed to deliver. In addition, through their wider civic missions, cultural institutions can help ensure districts have a greater focus on inclusive growth.
