iDiscover – STEAM programme for school pupils

Local education charity Inspire! are working with Carlton Primary School to deliver iDiscover: a high-impact, week-long programme introducing every pupil to a range of STEAM careers and experiences. And they need your help to make it happen!

Inspire! knows that it’s never too early to start tackling stereotypes and raising awareness of the world of work. iDiscover gives pupils and teachers the confidence to get more involved with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths. They provide resources, lesson plans, workshops and visits, as well as tours of exciting local workplaces, helping children to understand how we use science and technology in all areas of society.

They are seeking interested businesses to host a STEAM or STEM-themed workplace visit, and/or to provide volunteers who can introduce their careers to pupils at a mini careers carousel at the school. Inspire! will fully support all participating organisations and their employees to ensure everything goes smoothly on the day.

If you think your organisation would be able to provide an exciting and engaging experience for local children (and start inspiring your company’s future workforce!), get in touch with Lucinda Worlock by emailing Lucinda.worlock@inspire-ebp.org.uk or calling 0207 275 6066.
