Orchestra of the Swan with Thomas Nickell

Kings Place invite Knowledge Quarter partners to a much-anticipated visit from Orchestra of the Swan, the distinguished orchestra of Stratford-upon-Avon, featuring Young Steinway Artist, Thomas Nickell. Nicknamed ‘The American Mozart’, Nickell is one of the rising stars of his generation. The evening’s programme includes works by Bach, Britten, Martland, Matthews and Walton.

Welcome to New Knowledge Quarter partners

Eight new partners have joined London’s Knowledge Quarter (KQ) today, bringing the number of organisations involved to 73. The total number of partners is now more than double the number involved at the initial launch of the partnership.

One Camden – Letter from the Leader of Camden Council

Camden Council is monitoring and taking action against any form of hate crime in the follow up of the EU referendum. Invitation to Make, Do and Bend: The One-Dayer

Knowledge Quarter’s partner, The London Sinfonietta, is partnering with the hub to produce Make, Do and Bend, a project bringing together musicians, composers and creative technologists to explore how digital technology can open up new forms of interaction.

Markings – Illustration and Performance Festival

Markings is a unique collaboration between Knowledge Quarter’s partner Central Saint Martins, University of Arts and the House of Illustration; an exciting new festival that investigates the relationship between illustration and performance. The festival invites to think beyond the flat surface and consider how performance can be used to invigorate the form; and asks performers how illustration might offer added dimensions.

Improve your disability confidence for free with CamdenAbility

Business Disability Forum (BDF) is reaching out to Camden-based organisations that might wish to join a unique employer network dedicated to improving disability confidence across business. CamdenAbility project aims to significantly increase the number of disabled Camden residents who are in full-time employment.

Bloomsbury Festival 2016

Created with over 100 local partners including many Knowledge Quarter members, the annual Bloomsbury Festival returns this October. For five days from 19-23 October, Bloomsbury’s streets, parks, museums, galleries, laboratories, public and (normally) private buildings will be full to the brim with artistic, scientific and literary events for all ages and tastes.

Somers Town Festival – Diana Foster interviews Steve Denholm

Artist Diana Foster presents this year’s Somers Town festival with an interview to Steve Denholm, musician, maverick, chair of Somers Town Art (START) who has run the festival for over 19 years. This year the festival runs on Saturday 9th July with two music stages, a Somers Town photography competition prize, Pearly Queens, live bands on two stages, with a Bengali stage and a strong participation of many Knowledge Quarter partners.
