As the year winds down, the Knowledge Quarter community continues to push forward and imagine better futures.
From honouring scientific integrity at Springer Nature’s John Maddox Prize award ceremony (pictured above), to co-hosting a life sciences roundtable with the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and running a public forum on the future of ovarian health, we spent October ‘standing up for science.’
October is full of opportunities to connect with others in the KQ – from our first KQ Masterclass with Google, to a World Menopause Day morning dialogue, and a private view at the Wellcome Collection’s latest exhibition.
In September, knowledge comes alive in the Knowledge Quarter. Across over 20 higher education institutions in the area, 100,000 students resume their studies, while 30,000 graduates take their fresh ideas and innovations into the world.
The UK Government’s Industrial Strategy signals a new chapter for innovation clusters across the UK, and we’re looking forward to continuing working with our partners to ensure Knowledge Quarter’s contribution remains visible, valued, and well-supported.

It is with great sorrow that Knowledge Quarter announces the sudden passing of our Chair, Richard Harrison, on 20 April 2025, aged 44.
