It is with great sorrow that Knowledge Quarter announces the sudden passing of our Chair, Richard Harrison, on 20 April 2025, aged 44.

Richard was an extraordinary leader whose vision, wisdom, and kindness shaped the Knowledge Quarter into the vibrant, collaborative community it is today.

Throughout his distinguished career, Richard was renowned not only for his brilliant mind and leadership, but also for his deep generosity of spirit and unwavering compassion. His sense of humour and ability to speak truth with respect made him beloved by all who had the privilege to work alongside him.

Richard’s impact on Knowledge Quarter and the broader sectors he served will be felt for many years to come, especially through the thousands of young people he championed with tireless dedication. We are reflecting on how we can best honour his legacy.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and all who knew and admired him.
