Knowledge Quarter partner The Place has been the UK’s HQ for ground-breaking contemporary dance since 1969. There are passionate about it and want to ensure that it’s a vital component of the artistic life of our nation.
There are looking for a Director of Development to help drive this vision and grow the fundraising strategy over the next 3 years. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive you will lead on the organisation’s 50th Anniversary in 2019 and build the fundraising capacity to reach an annual income of £800k by 2020 to support the organisation’s new touring and producing model.
You will be a highly motivated individual with the passion to make The Place a leader of fundraising in the arts. You will have a track record pf developing new income streams and be able to influence at a high level to secure funding. Working closely with your senior management colleagues and the Chief Executive you will be responsible for fundraising and artistic excellence which will make its mark on the dance landscape.
