The hardworking picture workshop at the House of Illustration

Date: 8th January, from 9.30 to 16.30

Venue: House of Illustration

Scriberia is delighted to offer to Knowledge Quarter partners a discounted rate when for the hardworking picture workshop.

Bringing to the table years of experience as scribes, graphic facilitators and creative problem solvers, the Scriberia team will introduce you to tips and techniques to empower you as a visual thinker and communicator.

This is a fun and fast-paced practical one-day workshop for non-artists, that will not only convince you of the power of drawing to transform your daily work, but equip you with all the skills you need to do just that.

You don’t need to be an artist to master the basics of a visual vocabulary. The day will start with exercises to develop a repertoire of simple but incredibly hardworking drawings. From there, you’ll be shown how to use your new visual vocabulary to solve problems creatively, think strategically, present ideas clearly and persuasively, uncover fresh perspectives, collaborate with others, and engage with your audience.

Mastering the art of the hardworking picture is not just fun and creative, but fantastically useful, wherever you work and whatever you do. When time is short and attention spans are even shorter, having the skills to think and communicate in an effective and engaging way can set you apart.

So, join the Scriberia team for an exhilarating day of doodling, and be amazed by what you can achieve. You can expect to:

  • Build a basic visual vocabulary
  • Improve your drawing and design skills
  • Supercharge your flipcharts and presentations
  • Learn lessons from the best visual communicators
  • Use pictures as a problem-solving tool
  • Develop techniques for capturing ideas visually

Lunch and refreshments will be provided and you will have free access to the current House of Illustration exhibition.
