School of Advanced Study Open Day
Date: 10th of March 2016, from 16:00 to 20:00
Venue: School of Advanced Study
The School of Advanced Study warmly invites all Knowledge Quarter partners to attend the School of Advanced Study’s Open Day. This event will showcase the School’s vast array of resources, including courses, training programmes, libraries, archives, and digital tools. A panel discussion on applying for, and funding, a research degree in the humanities will be of special interest to prospective postgraduate students at both the masters and PhD levels. Tours of Senate House will provide a unique opportunity to learn about the history and architectural features of this special building.
The school commemoration of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death kicks off with a special spoken-word performance by Bards without Borders, a printmaking demonstration, a sneak peek of Senate House Library’s new exhibition, Shakespeare: Metamorphosis, and a talk by Dr Nick Barratt, the library’s associate director for collections and engagement.
This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
