Knowledge Quarter Partner Networking

On the 25th June 2015 the Knowledge Quarter invited its partners to attend the second Knowledge Quarter partner networking event held at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. The aim of the event was to facilitate, promote and encourage partner collaboration and knowledge exchange by providing an exciting space in which to network.

On this occasion we were hosted by the staff and students of the Central Saint Martin’s MA in Innovation Management. We delivered a packed agenda and offered delegates the opportunity to explore the student’s degree show whilst discovering their personal innovation leader profile.

The attendees were welcomed by Professor Jeremy Till, Head of Central Saint Martins and Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of the Arts London, who talked about cross disciplinarity and the value of the arts school in innovation. He was followed by Dani Salvadori, Director of Academic Enterprise and Dr Jamie Brassett, Course Leader, MA Innovation Management. Jamie provided some context to the course and explained how CSM aim to bring together open-minded individuals from a diverse range of academic and professional backgrounds in order to promote new ways of thinking and doing that encourages creative collaborations in the pursuit of innovation.

Following the introductions the delegates heard four short presentations from Robert Moye Director of the Charles Dickens Museum, Martin Sach Chairman of London Canal Museum, Laura Compton Head of Membership London Universities Purchasing Consortium and Kristi Adams Programme Manager Royal College of General Practitioners. The speakers introduced their respective organisations, outlined the knowledge that they hold and demonstrated how they have begun to work with other KQ partners.
