On Wednesday 24 June 2026, the Knowledge Quarter will host The Future of Climate & Health summit at Impact Hub London, as part of Earthfest 2026 – bringing together health professionals, climate experts, policymakers, innovators, and community leaders to examine one of the most pressing intersections of our time: the growing links between climate change and public health.

The Knowledge Quarter is proud to partner with EarthFest on this year’s summit, taking place as part of London Climate Action Week. With many of our members – from the Aga Khan Foundation to the Royal College of Physicians and Wellcome – already leading research and action at this intersection, the summit is an opportunity to spotlight the work happening across our district and convene the wider conversation.

A summit putting health at the heart of climate action

The climate crisis is a health crisis. From toxic air in our cities to extreme heat, food and water insecurity, and the mental health toll of environmental disruption, the impacts on human wellbeing are accelerating. Through solution-focused talks and sessions, The Future of Climate & Health will explore these challenges and showcase innovative approaches to building healthier, more resilient communities. By connecting the health and climate sectors, the summit aims to inspire collaboration, accelerate practical solutions, and position health as a powerful driver of climate action.

What to expect on the day

The afternoon programme features three flagship sessions exploring critical themes:

  • Feeding the Future: Climate, Food and Water Insecurity – a panel examining how climate change is disrupting food and water systems, and the solutions building long-term resilience.
  • Toxic Air: Who’s Paying the Price in Our Cities? – a fireside chat on the unequal health impacts of urban air pollution and pathways to cleaner cities.
  • The Silent Killer: Heat, Health, and Inequality – a panel exploring how extreme heat is reshaping public health, and how inequality shapes who is most at risk.

Bookended by opening and closing keynotes, and woven through with networking opportunities, the summit is designed to spark cross-sector collaboration and surface practical, actionable insight.

2026 Speakers include

  • Anna Russell, Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Director, Bupa Global, India & UK
