Creative workshops with Vincent Dance Theatre

Date: from 29th of February to 4th of March 2016

Venue: The Place

Knowledge Quarter’s partner, The Place, is offering the opportunity to contribute to the research and development stage of Charlotte Vincent’s latest project through participating in a 2 hour creative workshop exploring gender, consent and how young people view themselves in the age of digital and social media.
The workshops have been carefully and thoughtfully designed to encourage participants to reflect on stereotypes, media representation and the responsibility of the individual in shaping society. Vincent Dance Theatre are keen to work with people of all ages and interests and the workshops are not dance/movement based but instead elicit creative responses in a range of formats. The research and development will contribute towards Vincent Dance Theatre’s latest work, Virgin Territory, which will be shown at The Place in November.

More information about the workshops can be found on The Place’s website, here.
Individuals can book a place in one of the following workshops:
Tuesday 1 March: 10am or 12.30pm
Wednesday 2 March: 10am or 12.30pm
Or teams of 5-20 participants can book a whole group session from those remaining throughout the week.
