The Reading Agency launches new World Book Night opportunity for businesses

National charity The Reading Agency is offering a simple way for businesses to take part in World Book Night, an annual celebration of reading and books, on or around 23 April 2017. Books are given out across the UK with a focus on reaching those who don’t regularly read, and are gifted through organisations including prisons, libraries, colleges, hospitals, care homes and homeless shelters, as well as by passionate individuals who give out their own books within their communities.

Members of the Knowledge Quarter will have the opportunity to bring staff together to give out books in their community, helping to create new readers and demonstrate their commitment to literacy. The Reading Agency will work with participating businesses to understand their CSR goals and choose the right book to be given out, and will support with guidance and materials.

World Book Night is run by The Reading Agency, a national charity that inspires people to become confident and enthusiastic readers.
