The Place are looking for a Communications Coordinator (Maternity Cover)

Join the dynamic communications team at The Place; home of London Contemporary Dance School (LCDS). Leading the way in dance training, LCDS prepares young artists for a physically rigorous and highly creative profession.

The Place are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Communications Coordinator to develop and deploy student recruitment marketing plans, working closely with the school. You will be instrumental in planning, managing and coordinating the recruitment activity schedule for LCDS and the Centre for Advanced Training (CAT); pre-vocational scheme for 15-19 year old promising dance talents. You will be motivated to develop and improve recruitment activity working closely with a variety of stakeholders, and create plans and material which stimulate interest and raise ambition. This activity will enable a wide and diverse cohort of prospective students to find out about training options and support student decision making and confidence in applying for programmes.

The Communications department services the whole organisation, which includes a 288 seat theatre presenting 120 performances / year, a programme of recreational dance classes for people of all ages and levels, Richard Alston Dance Company (RADC); Britain’s leading independent company touring extensively in the UK and abroad and the Artist and Development programme; producing an increasing amount of touring work for small and mid-scale touring.

Salary: 0.8 of £25,000 per annum = £20,000 p.a (£1666 per month).
