Seeking KQ Partners: Disability and Access

Alex Whitfield, Head of Learning Programmes at the British Library, is seeking partners to work together to make the Knowledge Quarter an accessible and inclusive destination for disabled visitors.

We’d like to connect with partners from all disciplines to collectively map our existing programmes and projects. At the same time, we want to explore opportunities in which we might collectively market our events, tours and projects to help promote the Knowledge Quarter, and become one of the most accessible areas in London.

The Library is in the process of consolidating and developing its work with audiences with a wide range of access needs, but is keen to create a complementary, rather than competing offer, with other organisations in the KQ.

Whether you’re already running accessible programmes or if this is something new, we’re keen to hear from anyone interested in widening participation and providing fully inclusive events for visitors from all backgrounds.

If you’re interested in getting together for an early discussion about the potential of this idea, please contact Alex on alex.whitfield@bl.uk.
