The British Library is hiring a Public Policy Officer to join a world leading cultural institution in the heart of London’s Knowledge Quarter, at a fascinating moment in its history as it delivers it ambitious Living Knowledge vision ahead of its 50th anniversary in 2023.

The Public Policy team works closely with local and national political stakeholders to ensure the Library has a voice in a diverse range of policy areas including: UK research and innovation; national culture; the role of  public libraries; cultural diplomacy on the world stage; copyright and intellectual property; and digital and ‘big data’.

Ideally the successful candidate will have at least two years working in a stakeholder relations / advocacy role and a keen interest in politics and the workings of local and national Government.

The role is permanent, full time (but open to flexible working) based in St Pancras, with an advertised salary of £32k pa. The application window closes on 3 October.
