The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) University of London is the leading Higher Education institution in Europe specialising in the study of Asia, Africa and the Near and Middle East.

The University is looking to appoint a Head of Public Affairs to enhance the position, reputation and influence of SOAS. This will be achieved by developing relationship with high-level stakeholders, including policy makers, opinion formers, honorary alumni and diplomatic contacts in the UK and overseas and through oversight of the management of events to that end. The post holder will also oversee support to the senior management team, facilitating external engagement alongside the executive leadership required internally.

This role requires a high level of expertise in public affairs, political influencing and external relationships as well as the ability to work strategically with the leadership of SOAS.
