In the Grip of Change: the Caribbean and its British Diaspora examines the Caribbean’s transition from colonial exploitation to independence, highlighting activism, self-determination, and the ongoing process of decolonisation. This exhibit also explores the Caribbean diaspora in Britain and the effects of changing immigration and nationality laws, culminating in the Windrush scandal.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a fascinating collection of materials, including pamphlets, posters, poetry, and oral histories, offering profound insights into this complex and evolving legacy.
