Call for Participation: Being Human festival of the humanities

Get involved in the national 2017 Being Human festival of the humanities (17-25 November)!

Being Human is run by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy. It provides as a national platform for people to share research in the humanities in fun and engaging ways with non-academic audiences. Last year the festival featured around 200 events in 45 towns and cities across the country.

The festival is looking for activities that find creative, accessible, fun ways to demonstrate humanities research to audiences beyond HE. The full call for applications is available here: www.beinghumanfestival.org/apply. The festival theme this year is ‘Lost and Found’.

Last year’s programme was an incredible display of humanities fun (also featuring lots of events in collaboration with scientists, artists, social scientists). You can take a look at the 2016 programme here. There are also a number of case-studies on the website as well as pictures and films from the past couple of years.

The deadline for applications is 5pm 13 June 2017.
