KQ AI Masterclass Programme
Knowledge Quarter partners will deliver a new programme of masterclasses on AI literacy for Camden school pupils at the London AI Campus
22 January, 2026
Taking place throughout 2026, a new series of masterclasses delivered by Knowledge Quarter partners will teach AI skills and literacy to pupils from 10 Camden Schools, in Google’s London AI Campus.
The KQ AI Masterclass Programme brings together a diverse group of KQ members with a cohort of 30 Camden pupils aged 11–15, to deliver a series of short lessons in the uses of AI and digital technologies, giving pupils a taste of the skills they will need for the future studies and future careers. Participants will already be familiar with the London AI Campus thanks to an existing educational pilot scheme delivered by Camden Learning and Google.
The Masterclasses aim to broaden awareness of STEM pathways by showcasing the ways in which AI and digital tools are being deployed in different subject areas and fields, including creative fields. Delivered by Knowledge Quarter partners, each masterclass will also introduce pupils to local institutions, making future careers in STEM feel tangible and achievable.
A taster session took place in October 2025, and was supported by seven mentors from across the Knowledge Quarter partnership. Each mentor rotated between groups of 7–8 pupils, spending 15 minutes with each group. During these sessions, mentors shared their career journeys, discussed potential pathways available to pupils, and reflected on how studying STEM subjects shaped their progression into technology-related roles.
About the London AI Campus
Opened in November 2024 by Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the London AI Campus is a partnership between Google and Camden Learning, to improve digital skills in the UK.
The Campus, situated in Somers Town, Camden, opened with a two-year pilot delivering a programme of AI literacy and education to sixth form students from across Camden. Now in its second year, the pilot offers students access to cutting-edge resources on AI and machine learning, as well as offering mentoring and industry expertise from Google DeepMind.
