In March 2020 the first ever UK China Forum was developed by the National Library of China, Library Society of China and the British Library. This reciprocal Forum is building on those strong relationships to further enhance mutual learning and knowledge exchange in international library communities. This exciting new role at The British Library will lead on developing, delivering and evaluating a Forum in multiple UK locations, with delegates from China and across the UK.
The post-holder will work in the Public Library and Engagement team at the British Library, with strong links with the Culture and Learning team, as well as the Chinese collections and curatorial team. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin) at a professional level, a high level of attention to detail and planning skills, and the ability to work with international partners and multiple stakeholders are essential qualities of a successful candidate.
