London Contemporary Dance School (LCDS) wishes to appoint a Librarian who will be responsible for developing and managing library and learning resources for the students and staff of LCDS and users of The Place. The key objective of the role is to support academic attainment by providing access to high quality resources and equipping students with the ability to develop their research skills to support their lifelong learning.

The post holder should have experience of working as an Information Professional preferably in a Higher Education Institution and have an affinity with the education and training ethos of conservatoire level training and student-centred learning.

Based at The Place, a creative powerhouse for dance development, LCDS has been preparing young artists for a physically rigorous and highly creative profession for 50 years. The school ensures that its students are versed in the skills and knowledge that will enable them to achieve a lifelong career within the professional dance industry, in whatever shape that may take.

With 150 undergraduates and 50 postgraduates from all over the world, LCDS pushes the boundaries of what dance can be through an educational portfolio comprising; BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance, MA/PGDip Contemporary Dance with two performance pathways and MA Screendance.
