The Future of Knowledge is the Knowledge Quarter‘s flagship annual conference, the one day each year the universities, research institutes, cultural institutions, technology companies and businesses of one of the world’s leading innovation districts convene in one place.
Within a one-mile radius around King’s Cross sits one of the densest concentrations of knowledge organisations anywhere in the world. The Future of Knowledge will this year bring them together for a day of cross-sector exchange at the British Library, where research, culture, technology and enterprise share one platform.
The 2026 edition runs up to five parallel streams, from workshops and panel discussions to a partner expo, with delegates free to move between streams and shape the day around their own priorities. Across the day, the conversations follow the work of the district itself, from discovery and culture to new technology, investment and the life of the neighbourhood around King’s Cross.
The Future of Knowledge is open to all. Knowledge Quarter members, external stakeholders and members of the public are welcome to join, meet the organisations of the district and understand more about the work happening here.
