Started during the pandemic, Community Champions Regent’s Park Estate is a resident-led volunteer programme, managed by Fitzrovia Youth in Action, and now based at Old Diorama Arts Centre. Run by the community, for the community, the Regent’s Park programme has been particularly successful in galvanising local organisations and residents of all ages from age 8+ to 80+, working together in partnership to make large-scale impact and real change.
In this session, the project’s organisational partners and resident volunteers speak about some of the initiatives that have made the programme such a success, along with some of the main challenges and lessons.
