Carol is Chief Executive of the Coram group of children’s charities and also serves as Chair of the National Autistic Society and as a trustee of the Association of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and is a former member of the Youth Justice Board for England and Wales. Having started her career setting up print media enterprises in East Anglia she moved to London as a freelance arts journalist and became the first Public Relations Officer at the then Polytechnic of North London and Director of Marketing and Development at the University of Westminster. Carol was The British Museum’s first Director of Marketing and Public Affairs overseeing visitor-facing functions, before becoming Commercial Director of The Prince’s Trust, responsible for all aspects of income generation. Carol was awarded a CBE in 2013 for her service to children and families.
