“All the world’s a stage” said Shakespeare, and Islington has many! This hour and a half evening stroll will walk KQ partners through 300 years of Islington’s often bawdy and outrageous theatrical past. The borough has long been a focus of the entertainment industry from its infamous 18th century pleasure gardens and19th century music halls, to hosting some of London’s most iconic theatres. Some of the country’s most sought after directors, playwrights, actors and singers started their careers here, adding to the lasting theatrical legacy of Islington.
Tread the boards – or at least the pavements – and meet some of the flamboyant characters and hear the stories of the borough’s dramatic past!
