Adventures with Lasers: Women at the Frontiers of Science

25 10 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

- Free

Ever wanted to find out about an evil villain’s favourite weapon? Turns out lasers aren’t just used by bad guys to threaten the likes of James Bond. Lasers are used to monitor the air around us, recreate the conditions inside an exploding star on Earth and pioneer the latest cancer treatments.

Anita Chandran, Dr. Ceri Brenner and Dr. Lizzy Brama will be discussing their work with lasers at the frontiers of science. Join us for an informal evening of conversations about the importance of lasers in the modern world and the latest research surrounding them.

This event is for over 16s only. All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Drinks will be available to purchase.
