Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) is the largest provider of mental health and substance misuse services to people living within Camden and Islington. The Trust has contact with around 44,000 service users each year and provides a full range of mental health services for the local adult population. This includes inpatient care, a range of community-based services and crisis care.
Through the St Pancras Transformation Programme, C&I will deliver purpose-built community and inpatient facilities fit for 21st Century mental health care. Through his presentation Vincent will reflect on the aims of the Transformation Programme and C&I’s important research and wellbeing initiatives.
DR VINCENT KIRCHNER, Chief Medical Officer, Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust
Vincent joined C&I in 2000 as a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry. He has been Medical Director for the Trust since October 2014. He continues to work as a consultant psychiatrist in the Camden Memory Service. As Chief Medical Officer for the Trust, Vincent focuses on building strong medical, psychology and pharmacy services and co-producing the clinical strategy for mental health services in North Central London.
