SUMMARY:*UPDATE* KQ Private View and Drinks Reception: Alexander the Great Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:*STRIKE UPATE* \nDue to the planned rail strikes on the 14th December\, we’ve taken the hard decision to postpone the private view and drinks reception until the Monday 19th December to ensure as many of our partners as possible are able to attend the event.  If you are not able to attend on the 19th\, please let us know by cancelling your booking or emailing Freddy Green (freddy.green@bl.uk) directly. \nThank you for your understanding \n_______________________________________________________________________ \nEnd of year KQ Private View and drinks reception: \nJoin us for this in-person end of year private view and drinks reception at the British Library’s acclaimed Alexander the Great exhibition. \nThere will be drinks and networking on the British Library’s terrace level from 18:00 and access to the exhibition itself from 18:30. \n  \nAlexander. \nHe built an empire that stretched across the world. Rode across the sky on a flying chariot. And descended to the bottom of the sea in a glass bell. \nOr did he? \nPiece together an epic tale 2\,000 years in the telling. From astrological clay tablets\, ancient papyri\, and medieval manuscripts\, to Hollywood and Bollywood movies and cutting-edge videogames\, our major exhibition crosses continents to explore the fantastical stories that turned legacy into legend. \nPharaoh\, prophet\, philosopher. European\, Middle Eastern and Asian cultures have all moulded Alexander into the fictional hero they want him to be. And today artists and storytellers alike are still trying to reimagine the man and his myth. Who was he really? You’ll have to decide for yourself… \n  \nThe exhibition space has limited capacity\, so please register via the eventbrite link. This is a free private view and drinks reception open to Knowledge Quarter members only. \nN.B. the Library has a no food or drink policy for the actual exhibition space.
