Volunteer Roles at St Pancras Community Association

Knowledge Quarter’s partner, St Pancras Community Association (SPCA) is a charity that promotes community activity in St Pancras. The SPCA is on a drive for volunteers to help deliver their valuable and diverse range of activities which focus on the following areas:

  •  Children and families – through pre-school play sessions and a nursery and at weekends we host supplementary classes for school children.
  • Older People – Volunteers and ‘Community Connectors’ run bingo sessions, holidays, and community singing sessions.
  • Healthy Living – They offer a venue for pilates, dance classes and outdoor sports.

stca_old-peopleimg_1815The SPCA has recently moved to a much larger and very well-equipped building at 67 Plender St, NW1 0LB which has given them the scope to greatly expand their programme. They have a small team of full and part-time staff but depend heavily on volunteers and more volunteers are needed to enable the delivery of this expanded programme.  Some of the types of volunteer roles are; Older People’s Supporter; Administrator; Sports coach; Fund Raiser and they also need help with marketing and publicity.
