Regent High School Community and Family Open Day – Call for Participants

Regent High School invites Knowledge Quarter partners to join the school’s Community and Family Open Day, which this year will take place on Saturday 7 May 2016 from 11.30am-2.30pm.

Since last year, the Community and Family Open Day has become an annual appointment following the success of last year’s inaugural event during the school’s Grand Opening weekend. The school received an overwhelming positive feedback for opening the building to students’ families, members of the local communities and providing them with opportunities to meet and speak with the partners.

The only difference for this year is that it’s a couple of weeks later, in the hope that it’s a little warmer and sunnier!

The school is looking for support in terms of people and organisations to run activities, have a stall, share some of what is exciting about the Knowledge Quarter organisations; in brief, help to showcase the opportunities available to young people and their families as well as to the local communities. In return, as well as meeting many of Regent High School’s students, their families and local residents, there will be tea and cake aplenty!

It is now time for action for the Knowledge Quarter partners. In order to support the event please write a short email to Richard Harrison with the following information:

– Name of your organisation
– Name of staff members/volunteers representing your organisation
– What you would like to do (run a particular activity, have a stall etc.) A title and description would be especially helpful.
– What space and/or equipment needs you will have

Please send as much of this information as possible by Monday 18 April, (unless you’re on a two-week break, in which case email Richard as soon as you get back).

For any queries or more information, please do not hesitate to contact Richard Harrison.
