Maggie Aderin-Pocock MBE is a British space scientist and science educator. She studied at Imperial College London, graduating with a BSc in physics in 1990 and completed her PhD in mechanical engineering in 1994. Currently, Maggie is an Honorary Research Associate in University College London’s Department of Physics and Astronomy. Her career to date has spanned private industry, academia and government. She has worked on projects including the Aeolus weather satellite and the Gemini telescope in Chile. Since February 2014, she has co-presented the long-running astronomy TV programme The Sky at Night with Chris Lintott. In 2009, Maggie was awarded an MBE for services to science and education.
