Careers Carousel - Volunteer Opportunity

Careers Carousels involve students rotating in small groups around 20 volunteers, spending around 10 minutes with each volunteer. These events are a great way for students to gain confidence in talking to a wide variety of professionals, whilst broadening their awareness and knowledge on the range of careers relevant to their interests and aspirations.

Holy Trinity in Sunderland is collapsing. It is one of just two Grade I early Georgian churches surviving in the northeast of England. It has been on the Heritage at Risk register for several years and has been nominated as one of the ‘7 Most Endangered’ buildings in Europe. This church marks an important development in the history of Sunderland, which by the 1700s, was a vibrant and prosperous portal town. In particular, it was notable for its sea coal trade with France and the Netherlands.

Wellcome is looking for a KQ collaborator for an innovative pilot project that aims to influence how much meat people choose to eat. Livestock production is a large contributor to potent greenhouse gases. Diets high in animal products are also associated with an increased risk of non-communicable diseases. The project team will work together to make a positive shift in reducing meat consumption.
