Job Listing: Senior Creative Producer – Poet in the City

Senior Creative Producer – Collections in Verse, Poet in the City

This is a one-off opportunity to lead Collections in Verse, a collaborative programme between Poet in the City and the British Library. In this job, you will create, produce and lead poetry shows and commissions inspired by British Library exhibitions in libraries and community spaces across the country. Based at Poet in the City with regular working at the British Library, this is a unique opportunity to work with two leading literature organisations of very different sizes; you will benefit from a small creative producing organisation and the resources of a national library.

You will be a confident all-rounder and self-starter, who is equally at home creating dazzling poetry events, supporting artists and delivering participatory programming, as working as a fundraiser, evaluator and project manager. You must be happy to work independently and take initiative, as you’ll be travelling around the UK to bring this exciting programme to life.

This project is changing how both organisations work, and so Poet and the City and the British Library are very excited about this programme –they’re really looking forward to welcoming someone to the team to collaborate.

Working hours: (0.6 FTE) days to be agreed; 9.30am – 5.30pm weekdays with some evenings and weekends for performances.

Wage: £30,000 pro-rata to £18,000 0.6 FTE
