Tête à Tête: The Opera Festival, King’s Cross is a Festival of new and innovative drama and storytelling driven by music and the voice. Do not come if you love opera for its chandeliers and tiaras. This is gritty, hard core, artist-at-work creativity where sparks will fly. Where hundreds of performers, directors, composers, librettist, designers, lighting designers, singers, instrumentalists, artists and inspired individuals come together to take genuine risks hand in hand with discriminating, daring and forward looking audiences.
The festival runs from 25 July to 13 August 2017 celebrating its 10th birthday with a spectacular programme, featuring dozens of performances of brand new works as it continues to push the frontiers of opera at venues and spaces in and around King’s Cross.
The festival is made up of both ticketed and non-ticketed shows. The ticketed shows in the festival are designed to allow you to sample three or more short works of opera on any given evening.
