Summer Get Together to stand in Solidarity with Refugees across the World
For the second year in a row, the Skip Garden is throwing open it’s gates for an evening of music and food, while raising funds for The Starfish Project. With live music from Jimmy Livingstone, Flora Curzon, Catty Pearson and Henry Tozer, fresh veggie food lovingly prepared by our chefs and volunteers as part of a Disco Chop, a cracking camp fire, the screening of the film ‘Aamir’ of a young refugee boy, inspired by true events, and stories of resilience, friendship and hope from refugees and those who work with them.
Every penny raised will go straight to the grassroots Greek projects which The Starfish Project supports in Athens, Chios and Samos, providing support and nutritious meals for refugees fleeing war and persecution.
If you fancy volunteering your food prep skills as part of the Disco Chop, then come at 5pm. Contact nicole@globalgeneration.org.uk if you would like to.
Ticket price includes entrance, food and live music.
Between 6 and 7pm there will also be a discussion about reigniting personal leadership and drive in challenging times – ranging from the frontline of Westminster politics to the frontline of the refugee crisis.
