Art-science workshops: (de)constructing patterns and poems

20 06 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

- Free, Booking Required

Inspired by the Crick’s current exhibition, Deconstructing Patterns, they’re running a series of free poetry workshops that explore the spectrum of science and patterns studied by researchers at the Crick.

Delve deeper into the intricate patterns and themes featured in the exhibition and use them to write new, surprising and revealing poems in this interdisciplinary art-science workshop.

Join poet Simon Barraclough and Crick researchers to reflect on our connections to science and create your own poems inspired by the biological and social themes that run through the exhibition. Raid the gallery for inspiration and explore the light and the dark within.

These workshops are most suitable for adults. We will be running family workshops on a similar theme during half term on 30th May and 1st June.

Places are limited and must be booked in advance via Eventbrite

These workshops were developed by Poet in the City, another Knowledge Quarter Partner, that promotes a love of poetry to new audiences through live events, projects, commissions and participation.
